Adult Wind Ensemble is a welcoming space for adults to make music together. Whether returning to your primary instrument or exploring a new one, rehearsals are relaxed, collaborative, and focused on approachable, enjoyable music. This ensemble is perfect for anyone seeking the joy of playing in a group, building community, and sharing music. No auditions. No pressure. Just music, connection, and a place to belong.
This program is for adults ages 18 and up.
Classes are held weekly on Fridays, 6:00 PM–7:00 PM, January 16–April 17. There will be no class held on March 13. The semester concludes with a casual performance.
Foundational ability to play your chosen instrument is required.
- Total Tuition Cost: The cost of this program is $195
- Non-Refundable Deposit: At checkout, a $25 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot. This will be deducted from the tuition cost.
- Remaining Balance: The remaining $170 of tuition is required one week before the program’s start date.
Participants must provide their own instrument. All other materials will be provided.
Marc Keehmer is a trumpet player and educator with over 20 years of experience. He began his career as a teaching artist with the San Diego Youth Symphony’s Opus Project, later becoming a public school music teacher and eventually serving as a district VAPA (Visual and Performing Arts) coordinator. He currently works as the Assistant Director of Camps and Youth Programs at Butler University. Marc has taught private lessons and group classes in trumpet, clarinet, guitar, and ukulele, and has conducted a variety of ensembles, including school bands, youth wind ensembles, and a modern band for military veterans. He also performs regularly with the Second Chamber Players. At his core, Marc is passionate about creating welcoming spaces where people can make music together. He’s excited to lead this new ensemble and reconnect with the joy of playing in community.
