A fun, energetic Dance Adventure Camp for kids where movement meets imagination! Campers will explore a variety of dance styles, Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Improv, and more. They will learn to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork. Each day is packed with high-energy classes, creative games, and themed “adventures” that turn dancing into a story-driven experience. Along the way kids make new friends, express themselves, and grow their love for movement in a supportive, age appropriate environment- ending the camp with a showcase of what they have learned.
This program is designed for students entering grades 2–7 in the fall of 2026.
Camp Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Campers will need to bring their own lunches. Snacks are provided in the morning and in the afternoon.
Register by May 15, 2026.
Tuition & Deposit:
- Program tuition is $350.
- A $25 non-refundable deposit is required at checkout to reserve your spot. This amount is applied toward your total tuition.
- The remaining balance is due May 18, 2026, unless you are on an approved flexible payment plan. All payment plan balances must be paid at least 14 days before camp begins.
Refund Policy:

- Department Cancellation: If the department cancels a camp session, you will receive a full refund.
- 30+ Days Before Camp: Full refund minus the $25 deposit.
- 14–29 Days Before Camp: 50% refund of the amount paid, minus the $25 deposit.
- Fewer Than 14 Days Before Camp: No refunds will be issued.
- Camp sessions are not prorated for vacation, illness, or missed days.
Jaclyn Virgin Oomkes is an Indianapolis native. She received her BFA from Butler University
in Dance Performance. Immediately following, she became a member of Dance Kaleidoscope –
Professional Modern Dance Company in Indianapolis, IN. In 2006 she began to blossom in her
teaching/choreography career. She has been teaching classical modern, ballet, and jazz for
over 20 years. She has been a guest teacher/ choreographer for various companies and dance
schools such as Dance Kaleidoscope, Anderson University and Kenyetta Dance Company. She
was on faculty at Jordan Academy of Dance where she taught ballet, modern, and jazz and was
Associate Director to the Jordan Dance Ensemble. In 2008 she founded the (RE)Collective
Company that involved live music and dance. She also has been on faculty for the Butler Ballet
Summer Dance Intensive since 2016 and Artistic Director of the Butler Community Arts Dance
Adventure Camp that takes place in the summer since 2023. Currently, Jaclyn serves as
Adjunct Dance Faculty at Butler University head of the non major department for ballet, modern
and jazz. She is a certified Yoga/ Pilates instructor for various studios around Indianapolis.
