Join Zach Cooper, Pam Ajango, and Amanda Hopson for a diverse faculty artist recital featuring music for horn, oboe, flute, and piano, ranging from Madeline Dring’s spirited Italian Dance and Jeff Scott’s evocative The Idle Mind to Carl Reinecke’s elegant trio. In recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11, the program features Butler colleague Frank Felice’s poignant work for unaccompanied oboe, written in commemoration of the tragic events of 9/11, as well as Passages, a trio for flute, horn, and piano by Paul Basler, featuring guest flutist Jennifer Cooper. The recital offers an engaging journey through music spanning different eras, styles, and expressive voices.
