Public Lecture: “Inclusivity in Children’s Illustration”
Anoosha Syed is a Pakistani-Canadian author, illustrator, and character designer for animation.
As a third-culture kid, she grew up in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Pakistan, Switzerland, and the US, and is now finally taking a breather in Canada. She graduated with a BFA in Illustration at Ceruleum: Ecole d’arts Visuels in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2015. Since then, she has worked as a character designer for preschool series in development working with studios like Disney, Netflix, and Nick. After illustrating over forty books for children, she is now working on several author/illustrator titles including That’s Not My Name! and Lost Stick.
In her spare time, Anoosha hosts a YouTube channel focused on accessible illustration education.
