Butler Ballet Presents Midwinter Dances
Sponsored by Howard L. Schrott and Diana M. Mutz
Featuring William Forsythe’s BERIO SUITE
William Forsythe is often called the “father of contemporary ballet” for his groundbreaking work at the Frankfort Ballet. His choreography is rarely performed outside of professional companies but for the first time ever, Mr. Forsythe has granted ButlerBallet permission to perform his Berio Suite. Former Forsythe Company dancer, Jill Johnson will stage for our MidWinter Dances. Rounding out the alternating programs will be original works by ButlerBallet resident choreographers Marek Cholewa, Katie Currier, Ramón Flowers, David Ingram, Cynthia Pratt, Derek Reid, and Rosanna Ruffo.
