Piano for Little Bulldogs
Piano for Little Bulldogs introduces children ages 5–9 to music fundamentals through playful, hands-on learning at the piano. Grounded in creativity and exploration, students build foundational skills in rhythm, melody, technique, improvisation, and musicality. Each 50-minute group class combines interactive demonstrations, games, singing, movement, and creative activities, making music learning both fun and engaging from the very first note.

This program is for students ages 5–9.
This fall, we’re offering two standalone six-week sessions. Families can choose to join one or both for a deeper experience. Returning students will explore new material and challenges, while beginners will be supported every step of the way.
Session Dates and Times:
- Session #1: Saturdays, 10:00 AM–10:50 AM, January 17–February 21 [SOLD OUT, email bcas@butler.edu to be added to the waitlist]
- Session #2: Saturdays, 10:00 AM–10:50 AM, March 21–April 25 [SOLD OUT, email bcas@butler.edu to be added to the waitlist]
There are no prerequisites for this course. The program is open to all beginners ages 5–9.
Total Cost:
- One session: $115
- Both sessions: $200
Deposit:
- A non-refundable $25 deposit is required at checkout to reserve your spot. This deposit is applied toward your total tuition.
Remaining Balance:
- If attending one session, the remaining $90 is due one week before the program starts.
- If attending both sessions, the remaining $175 is due one week before the program starts.
Bella Meier is currently a student of Butler University. She will graduate in the spring of 2026 with a bachelors degree in instrumental music education as well as piano performance. She has studied under Dr. Kate Boyd for the past 5 years.
Bella has been an active educator and performer in her community. She has taught private lessons, assisted in teaching ensembles, and has worked at Butler’s Jazz and Piano Camps. Her goal is to spread a love of music while encouraging students to explore their creativity. Outside of piano she enjoys reading, hiking, and trying new foods.
