The Butler Strings Project: Guitar gives young musicians an inspiring introduction to the world of string playing through engaging, ensemble-based guitar classes. Designed for beginners and intermediate players, this program provides a supportive environment where students can learn, grow, and make music together. Participants build strong technical and musical foundations, develop teamwork and creativity, and gain confidence through regular performance opportunities. Students will need to provide their own instruments.
This program is for students ages 9–13.
Session #1: September 12–October 17
- Beginner Class: Saturdays, 10:00 AM–10:50 AM
- Intermediate Class: Saturdays, 11:00 AM 11:50 AM
Session #2: October 24–December 12
- Beginner Class: Saturdays, 10:00 AM–10:50 AM
- Intermediate Class: Saturdays, 11:00 AM 11:50 AM
- There will be no class held on November 7 or 28
You may register for whichever session(s) best fit your schedule. We recommend enrolling in either:
- One class total, or
- One class from each session
- Beginner guitar class: No experience is required.
- Intermediate guitar class: Students should have previous guitar experience and be comfortable playing basic open chords, changing between chords, and maintaining a steady strumming pattern. Consistent strumming in time, and single-note picking.

Total Cost:
- One session: $115
- Both sessions: $200
Deposit:
- A non-refundable $25 deposit is required at checkout to reserve your spot. This deposit is applied toward your total tuition.
Remaining Balance:
- If attending one session, the remaining $90 is due one week before the program starts.
- If attending both sessions, the remaining $175 is due one week before the program starts.
