History in Harmony is the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Education and Community Engagement Department’s series of multimedia programs that explore history through live music and storytelling. Created by ISO violist Amy Kniffen, Native American Voices features ISO musicians and narrator Mike Pace in a program celebrating contemporary Native voices through student compositions from the Lakota Music Project Composition Academy and Jerod Impichchaahachaaha’ Tate’s “Moonstrike.” Together, music and storytelling invite audiences to explore Indigenous traditions while building understanding and bridging cultures.
